ECC10 Early-Career Poster Awards
At ECC10, we believe that the best science is science that can be shared.
The ECC10 Early-Career Poster Awards recognize early-career researchers who excel not only in their scientific methodology but in their ability to communicate their findings clearly, visually, and enthusiastically to a broad scientific audience.
These awards transcend specific scientific themes. We are looking for early-career researchers who can step outside their specific niche and confidently explain the “big picture” of their research to chemists from various disciplines.
How the Competition Works
To ensure a high-quality and manageable competition among the hundreds of brilliant early-career researchers at ECC10, we have implemented a Pre-Screened Opt-In Approach:
- Application: Participation is not automatic. You must actively apply for the award by answering three short motivational questions via the application form below.
- Shortlisting: If the number of applications exceeds the capacity of our daily juries, the Scientific Committee will use your answers to the application questions to create a daily shortlist of competitors.
- The Jury: Shortlisted posters will be visited by a multidisciplinary jury during the scheduled poster session (13:00-14:00).
- Note: The jury will consist of chemists from various fields, so avoid overly dense jargon. Be prepared to explain the broader context of your research!
- Announcement: Winners will be selected per congress day (Monday to Thursday). All daily winners will be officially announced and celebrated together during the Closing Ceremony on Thursday.
