Call for Abstracts
Abstracts may be submitted under 8 congress themes:
- Catalyzing New Chemistry Solutions
- Chemistry Meets Biology & Food Science
- Computational Chemistry & AI: The Power of Data
- Energy, Environment & Sustainability
- Innovative Materials
- Molecular Design & Reactivity
- Perspectives in Analytical & Physical Chemistry

Instructions for Authors:
- Abstracts must be written in English and must not exceed 300 words. Submissions must be in Word format (.docx) and uploaded via the online submission form. The word limit excludes the title, author names, and affiliations.
- Use font Arial 10 characters per inch (font size 10).
- Use single spacing and type the text unjustified without hyphenating words at line breaks. Use hard returns only to end paragraphs and not to rearrange lines.
- Type title in sentence case in bold with no full stop at the end
- Insert one blank line below the title
- List authors by first name followed by family name (e.g. Pieter-Paul Rubens, Jan Van Eyck)
- Type affiliation underneath the authors in italics: Institution, Country (do not mention street addresses, PO boxes or zip codes). When there are multiple affiliations number them as follows and use the semi-colon between the multiple affiliations: 1lnstitution A, Country; 2Institution B, Country etc.
- Insert 2 blank lines after the affiliation(s)
- Max 2 figures or graphs are allowed.
- Acknowledgements or support or funding can be mentioned in a separate paragraph.
- References can be added in a separate paragraph in font size 8. If adding references, use the American Chemical Society citation style:

Important Information:
- Presenters are not exempt from paying the registration fee.
- To ensure a fair and scientific review of abstracts we will use a blind review process. Abstracts will be reviewed for the level of innovation/contribution to the field and the general standard of academic writing of the abstract.
- Any abstract that was submitted for consideration as an oral communication, but was unsuccessful in that regard, may be considered for poster presentation.
- All correspondence will be with the submitting/corresponding author only. This author is responsible for disseminating information related to the co-authors.

1. Who can submit an abstract?
We encourage submissions from both academic and industry contributors.
2. If I submit an abstract, is it automatically accepted?
No, all abstracts will undergo a blind review process to ensure fairness and scientific integrity. Each submission will be evaluated based on its level of innovation or contribution to the field, as well as the overall quality of academic writing.
3. How many abstracts can I submit?
You may be listed as a co-author on an unlimited number of abstracts. However, you can present a maximum of two abstracts: either one oral presentation and one poster/flash presentation, or two poster/flash presentations.
4. Does the presenter need to be the principal investigator?
No, but they must be a member of the research team.
5. Can I start to submit my abstract on the submission website and come back to it later?
“Yes, you can click the ‘Save and Submit Later” button, which allows you to return to your submission and make changes before final submission.
6. Does the title of the research count in the word count of the abstract?
No, the title, authors’ names and affiliations are not included in the 300 words limit.
7. Do references count in the word count of the abstract?
Yes, references are included in the 300 words limit.
8. Can I include a figure in my abstract?
Yes, you may include a maximum of 2 figures or graphs in your abstract.
9. How will I be sure my abstract has been submitted?
You will receive an automatically generated email confirming that your submission has been received. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam or junk folder, as it may have been filtered there. If not found, it may indicate an issue with the submission.
10. When will I know if my abstract has been accepted?
The submitting author will be notified 10 March 2026.
11. If my abstract is accepted, do I still need to register for the Congress?
Yes, at least one author must register and pay the applicable registration fee in order to attend and present the abstract at the Congress. Co-authors who wish to attend the Congress must also register and pay the applicable registration fee.
